Christmas in Mexico!!!

Okay, so I still havent gotten any pictures from Christmas... So im going to wait for a few more days to get all the pictures together and then Ill write all about our adventures in Mexico for Christmas!!!!! :)

All right everyone, almost a year later, but I finally got pictures!!! Rob and I followed my sister and brother in law to Mexico, we stopped in Gallup for the night and stayed at a SUPER ghetto old hotel. We all had to squeeze in there pretty good. It started to get really cold so Kimball decided he was going to run out to the car and grab some extra blankets for the kids. He walked out the door, and as soon as it shut, we heard "Hey! Get over here!" a few fighting words and then the van door slam and someone hitting the van, we FLEW to the door, opened it a bit and saw that there was a guy outside standing in front of the van kicking and punching it. We hurried and locked the door, looked through the window all while frantically trying to call 911. We threw the kids in the second part of the room and told them to lie down and be quiet, they were all crying, and it was the SCARIEST thing ever! We kept hearing the (VERY) drunk man yelling and screaming at Kimball, accusing him of sleeping with his wife, etc... His wife came out of their room and was yelling and screaming at HIM. He hit the car a few more times and started to walk out of the Hotel parking lot. Kimball took his chance and ran into the room. The cops came and needless to say it was a VERY long night. The boys kept getting scared and crying and we were all on edge. The guy was obviously druk and on drugs and apparently had caused problems in that town before. The cops went out to patrol and look for him. Warning to all: DONT stay in ghetto hotels in New Mexico... GRODY GRODY people!!! BESIDES all that, we got into Mexico and had a good time, Christmas Eve day, we all went on a hike, (in the nice warm, WONDERFUL day) We had pozole that night as usual and my Aunt Shirley, and the Feste's came over for it. We opened a couple presents that night (the usual pajamas and one of Grandma Taylors gifts) The Browns came caroling to our house (yay!!) and it was fun for Rob to listen to a couple of the Spanish carols. Afterwards we al went to bed and waited for "Santa" to come. The next morning everyone was so excited! When we got downstairs everyone had their own quilt and monthly supply of candy. Rob got some brown DC shoes he needed, a t-shirt, some tools and candy. I got a sweater that I needed, a shirt, some jewelry, and we both got our own supply of bottled beans, chile, and tomato sauce and salsa. :) After everyone opened their presents from Santa, friends, and Mom and Dad, we all went and had breakfast. Bacon, eggs, toast, pancakes, hot chocolate, whatever we wanted! After breakfast we all played with our new toys, watched new movies and ate lots of candy. We got Christmas Dinner ready and ate LOTS and LOTS of food! We basically ate for the rest of the day... yummy! :) My nephews had so much fun playing with their wheelbarrow and garden tools. The day aftetr Christmas Rob and I left so we could spend a couple days in AZ with his grandparents and Aunt and Uncle. Once we got back to Utah it was cold and snowy still... :( but we were glad to be home.
